About this project
A freelance web development agency that I founded and operated for local businesses in Santo Domingo, building modern, functional websites from start to finish. It ran from December 2025 to August 2026.
Key Features
- Brand identity: A black-and-white color scheme, no unnecessary elements and generous spacing.
- Contact: Making it validate email addresses, prevent errors and feel intuitive on both desktop and mobile was a usability challenge.
Challenges
I wanted the logo to automatically switch from black to white when someone changed from light to dark mode. It sounds simple, but making it feel smooth and error-free took several attempts. I eventually got it working as intended, with a seamless transition.
What I learned
Less is more. Restricting myself to black and white pushed me to be more creative with spacing, text sizes and organization. I learned that a simple, well-executed design works better than one overloaded with effects and colors.
